Announced a few days ago, the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are already paying a software update. Like the Galaxy S20 series, these new Samsung flagships will be able to receive three major updates of their operating system.
Samsung lifted the veil on the Galaxy Note 20 on August 5 at an Unpacked event. In case you missed the announcements that marked this event, know that in addition to the new devices in the Galaxy Note range, the South Korean firm also presented the Galaxy S7. The Galaxy Watch 3 is also one of the new products unveiled at this online conference, as are the Galaxy Buds Live headphones. Regarding the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Utra, we learned today through Android Central that they have just received a first software update.
A first software update for the Galaxy Note 20
As reported by the media mentioned above, the MAJ weighs 500 MB. Despite this rather large size, it does not add anything in particular, at least in terms of functionality.
On the other hand, Samsung promises an improvement in general performance as well as a resolution of certain bugs. Once downloaded and installed on the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, the file will also provide better stability.
Samsung said in its last keynote that the Galaxy Note 20 are designed to support three updates of their operating system. In other words, the new series of smartphones from the South Korean giant will be compatible with at least the next two versions of Android. This particularity also concerns the Galaxy S20 series.
An Exynos 990 SoC
In terms of characteristics, the Galaxy Note 20 is equipped with an Exynos 990 SoC (Snapdragon 865+ for the US version) supported by 8 GB of RAM, a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen and a triple sensor 12 + 64 + 13 megapixel photo.
For its part, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is also powered by an Exynos 990 processor, but promises 12 GB of RAM. On the photo side, it offers a back module consisting of a main sensor of 108 MP, a telephoto lens of 12 MP and a wide-angle lens of 12 MP.
