The research firm OMDIA has just unveiled its ranking of the 10 best-selling smartphones in the first half of this year. As for the same period in 2019, Apple was a hit.

A ranking dominated by the American giant

The second place in the new ranking is given to the Galaxy A51, while last year this rank was occupied by the Galaxy A10. Samsung’s mid-range device announced in December 2019 recorded a shipment volume of 11.4 million units. The Redmi Note 8 is in third position with 10.2 million copies sold.

In general, we can say that these new data published by OMDIA reflect the dominant position that Apple occupies in the mobile telephony market. Five iOS devices are actually in the Top 10.
